<p><b>All together now</b></p>
<p>
Now it was time to reassemble the camera. Because I broke those two traces of the backlight-ribbon, I soldered some wires to two convenient points on the backlight module and soldered the other sides to the PCB. One was ground and the other one part of the high Voltage supply for the CFL tube.
</p>
<p>
Other than that It was pretty easy to follow the teardown guide in reverse to put it back together.
</p>
<p>
I had some trouble with getting the ribbon cables connecting the top assembly to the rest of the camera. (Turns out the glue that holds the stiffeners on ribbon cables in place degrades over time) But with a bit of patience I got them in without breaking anything.
